American Airlines had to delay or cancel 850 additional flights Wednesday, more than one-third of its schedule, as it spent a second straight day inspecting the wiring on some of its jets. "These delays undermine our legitimacy," said the pilot wearing a Jiffy Lube uniform.
Passengers didn't seem to mind the delays seeing they had to walk half-way to their destinations just to get to the gate anyway.
